Efekty kształcenia: The student after completion of the course: - knows the history of inception and the functional - spatial specificity of chosen historic military architecture objects, their distinctive role in the landscape, and contemporary trends in the management of these buildings for tourist - education purposes; - knows how to distinguish the fortress green, intentionally planted in a given historical period, to determine the tactical; - knows how to take account in the landscape architect's design work the requirements for the cultural values protection of the monuments objects.

Treści kształcenia: Fortress architecture in the landscape in Europe. About the need for protection of military architecture, large and small-scale assumptions, often very expressive in the landscape. The sequence of research - design works in the architectural activities related to regeneration and revitalization. Historical elements of the defense and defense systems – types of works of the fortress architecture, a glossary of terms. Outline of the development of European fortifications from the early Middle Ages to the seventeenth century. Outline of the development of European fortifications from the eighteenth century to the time of World War II. Eighteenth and nineteenth century defensive architecture in the landscape of Lower Silesia. The terms of conservation and restoration of monuments. Fortress vegetation - historical features and contemporary issues in concerning the greenery in the area of fortresses. Examples of fortifications historic objects from Europe, which were undergone restoration - the modern features of them. Street furniture associated with support for tourism within the fortress. Lasting ruin, its role in the landscape - panorama, landscaping interior. Territorial protection of monuments.
