Knowledge:
- student explains the basic mechanisms of nonspecific and specific anti-infectious and anti-parasite immune response
-describes basic mechanisms of immune mediated diseases :hypersensitivities and immune deficiencies
-defines the basic parameters of the immune status of animals
-explains the principles and effects of active immunization
Practical skills:
-performs basic immune tests agar double immunodiffusion, ELISA
-interprets results of basic immune tests in certain clinical situations
Competences:
-Students work in group
-are responsible for safe using of laboratory equipment

Biochemistry, histology, cell biologyCourse content:
Cells and tissues of the immune system, antibodies (Ab): structure, functions, diversity of immunoglobulins, antigens (Ag), antigen-antibody reactions, monoclonal antibodies, molecules of immune recognitions, antigen presentation, major histocompatibilty complex, TCR and BCR receptor, lymphocyte activation, immune response and its control, mechanisms of innate and adaptive response, inflammation, cytokines, cellular and humoral cytotoxicity, mucosal immunity, anti microbial immunity, immunodeficiency and immune disorders, hypersensitivity, vaccination, vaccines, immunology of pregnancy.Recommended literature:
