Knowledge:
1. Student specifies a digestion, absorption and metabolism of nutrients essential vitamins and minerals in animal nutrition.
2. defines the base of assessment systems of energy and protein feed and the need for living and production of various species of animals
3. proposes feed for various animals know their characteristics and taking into account their impact on the physiology of nutrition and economics as well as recommending the selection of appropriate additives.
4. describes a metabolic disorder symptoms in animal nutrition background indicates ways to prevent
5. explains the environmental burden arising from animal feed
Practical skills:
6. Interprets a feed analysis results and selected physiological studies allow to estimate their nutritional value and usefulness in animal nutrition
7. Arranges own feed rations and succinct recipe mixes for farm animals (ruminants and monogastric) having different directions of livestock

Student sets out the principles of cooperation in the evaluation of forage quality and nutritional impact of errors with breeders and feed the relevant departments of veterinary medicine and doctor of veterinary Inspection bodiesPrerequisites:
Biochemistry, animal physiology.Course content:
Substantial nutrients, biochemistry of their transformation in monogastric animals and in ruminants. Metabolism and energy transformation. Feeds nutritive value. Minerals and vitamins and their role in animals’ feeding. Feed utilization. Feed quality, feed supplements, metabolic diseases, requirements of animals for nutrients, diseases caused by the feeding mistakes.Recommended literature:
