Knowledge:
Student identifies the species of parasites and can estimate the associated risk to the animal and a human, defines the basic concepts and terms in the field of parasitology, knows the development cycles of parasites and zoological taxonomy and can use it to.
-Describes the clinical sings and lesions of parasitic diseases occurring in different species of animals (cows, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, laboratory animals, fowl, reptiles, amphibians and fish).
-Plans to propose basic diagnostic tests to demonstrate parasites and implement appropriate therapy in infected animals
Practical skills:
-Plans and implements a herd of antiparasitic prevention rules
-Estimates and indentify risks parasites an animals and also determines the possibility of transmission to humans from direct contact of humans and animals
-Performs basic diagnostic tests to identify the parasites
-Indentifies the hazards for companion animals (dogs, cats) that result from eating contaminated animal products raw fish, meat or internal organs

Biology, Internal Clinical Diagnostics, Pathophysiology and Pathology, Pharmacology.Course content:
Parasites in domestic and wild animals, their morphology, biology, life cycle and epizootical and epidemiological roles. Interactions between hosts and parasites, various laboratory methods used in diagnosis of parasitological diseases, treatment and prophylaxis of parasites in animals.Recommended literature:
