Knowledge:
Studnt has a knowledge of the most important methods used in immunohistochemistry (IHC), which are available in morphological examination and also in histopathological diagnostic.
Student is able to correct recognize speciment on light microscope level, that gives a view in to structure and function of cells, tissues, organs and systems of different pathological processes.
Student regularizes and increases practical knowledge in histopathological exercises.
Practical skills:
-After graduation of course student is able to independent analyse or interpret of speciments made with using of immunohistochemistry technics.
-Based on immunohistochemistry examination results of neoplasmatic tumors, student can estimate course of disease and establish prognosis, also is able to choose correct therapy of neoplasmatic illness with oncologist help.
Competences:
Student diagnoses cancer histopathological changes and performs an initial diagnosis of preparations stained with antibodies.Prerequisites:
Graduated pathomorphological course (semester 5, year III).Course content:
Students have been shown basics immunohistochemistry reactions and their results. Findings will include correct cells as well as changed by pathological processes, contains specific neoplasmatic antigens, which are used in differential neoplasms diagnostic and their treatment.Recommended literature:
