Knowledge:
The student understands the essence of sociology as a science of society, - student has a general knowledge in terms of the elementary concepts of sociology, and the basic concepts and theories that make up the sociology of scientific apparatus, - knows the most basic methods of social research - knows the basic types of macro and microstructures of social, - has knowledge of the most important phenomena occurring in a global society today.
Skills:
Student can identify sociology as a science and replace its precursors - can critically look at the sociological knowledge itself as one of the possible structures to explain the social world - he/she is able to describe and name the components of the social system and to characterize the basic social community - can describe the concept of nation , states and civilizations in terms of sociology - is able to correctly interpret the results of surveys - use their knowledge of test methods for self-constructing a questionnaire.

Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors):
Student is able to complement and improve the acquired knowledge and skills - able to communicate with the environment in order to share knowledge of sociological - can work in groups, undertaking various roles and take responsibility for their own work and others.

Sociology as a humanistic science, Society as a subject of sociology, Defginitions and types of social groups, Sociological analysis of a state, State, political parties, conditions for democracy, Sociological notions of nation, Nation and ethnic group, Collision of civilisations according to Huntington, Globalization, Sociological formulation of culture, Socialization and social control, Family as a basic division of socialization. Changes in a contemporary polish family.
