Learning outcomes: Knowledge: -Student properly defines and describes the micro-and macroscopic lesions in specific fowl diseases. -Explains the cause-and-effect relationships among observed pathomorphological changes and the factors that cause them. -Describes the intravital symptoms that corresponded to the observed postmortal changes. -Presents rules for the collection and fixation of material for research, examine the results and differential diagnosis. Practical skills: -Recognizes the morphological changes typical for the most common poultry diseases. -Takes samples, fixes, and describes material for cytology and histopathology.

Competences: Student collects tissue and organ for diagnostics use.

Prerequisites: Graduated pathomorphological course.

Course content: During the course students will learn about histopathological changes in the most common poultry diseases (bacterial, viral and metabolic).
