Learning outcomes: Knowledge: -Student explains possibilieties of cytological (fine needle aspiration biopsy, exfoliative cytodiagnosis, fluids from body cavities) and histopathological diagnostics. -Discusses the rules for sampling and fixation of material for the research, carry out the cytological slides and interpretation of the results. Practical skills: -Recognizes benign and malignant tumors on the basis of cytological and histological slides, can determine neoplasms origin and malignancy. -Takes samples, fixes, and describes material for cytology and histopathology.

Competences: -diagnoses benign or malignant tumors in cytological and histopathological slides.

Prerequisites: Passed pathomorphology exam

Course content: During the course, students learn the basics of diagnostic cyto-and histopathological changes in malignant or benign tumors (inflammatory reactions, etc.).
