The objective of the course is to provide the knowledge about the rules of the monitoring of the environment as well as the analytical techniques used in the monitoring procedures. Basic indexes and permitted levels of pollutants are also studied. Competences:
After completing the course student could evaluate the state of basic environment components as; soil, surface and underground water, sea, atmosphere, and plant cover. The organization of monitoring system in Poland and its competences is also a benefit of the course. Usefulness of remote sensing methods for environmental studies is also presented.Prerequisites:

Organization and program of environmental monitoring in Poland, sources of pollution, monitoring of surface and ground water, monitoring of Baltic Sea, monitoring of atmosphere, monitoring of radiation, monitoring of soils and earth surface, monitoring of noise and vibration, integrated monitoring of environment, methods and usefulness of teledetection.
