Learning outcomes: Knowledge: The student has knowledge of the commercial value of flowers, vegetables, fruits and nursery, the factors that shape the quality and extent of preparation of horticultural products on the market. O2_W07 Student knows: the standards of quality of flowers, fruits and vegetables, sort of horticultural products, packaging and labels used in marketing of horticultural products, O1_W07 Skills: The student is able to assess the quality of fruits and vegetables available on the Polish market and abroad, gaining the ability to prepare the products to the market in accordance with the required standards, he knows the procedure to ensure healthy food as required by the public certificates of good manufacturing practice, good hygiene practices, HACCP, Globalgap, O2_U03 , O2_U06

Competences: The student demonstrates an understanding of the need to assess and control the market offer of horticulture products in accordance with the safety requirements of consumers. He is aware of the ethical, professional and social responsibility for the production of fruit and vegetable quality O2_K03 He is able to work creatively as a team throughout the chain of production and trade O2_K05 It can analyze the process of gardening, solve problems and perform tasks related to this production O2_K06, O2_K07

Prerequisites: Basics of vegetable growing, fruit growing and ornamental crops in the ground and in the greenhouse, Nursery, Storage of horticultural products

Course content: Standards and assessment of the quality of fruit and vegetables produced for direct consumption. Certificates production. Sorting horticultural products, packaging, horticulture, product presentation .
