Learning outcomes: Learning outcomes and competences: During the course a student will get know a plant structure on different levels – from a molecular level, through plant tissues and organs to whole organism. Knowledge: Structure of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, types and functions of plant tissues, overview plant anatomy and morphology. Skills: A student knows and understands the basic concepts connected with cytology, histology and plant organography, he possesses abilities essential to recognize elements of plant cells and types of plant tissues, a participant can describe plant organs and recognize main type of influences and fruits.

Competences: Personal and social competences: A student understands and shows knowledge related to structure and function of plants. Through the course student improves skills need to broaden his botanical knowledge.

Prerequisites: Knowledge of general Biology.

Course content: Structure of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, plant tissues, anatomy and morphology of vascular plants (roots, lives, stems and flowers), inflorescence types, structure and type of fruits.
