Student possesses knowledge on simplifications in soil tillage, mechanical cultivation of plants and harvesting of crops. He knows how reduced soil tillage affects some properties of soil. He knows environmental role of cover crops and muches. He is able to plan crop production based on various types of crop rotation.Competences:
After completing the course student receives ability to choose appropriate method of reduced soil tillage also with mulching strategy. He is able to make decision on mechanical cultivation of a given crop and decision on its harvest methodPrerequisites:

Effect of soil tillage on soil structure, simplifications in soil tillage, direct drilling, cover crops and mulches, mechanical cultivation of plants, harvest technologies of crops, basics of crop rotations.Recommended literature:
