Knowledge:
knows the basic categories of the regional policy and its division; differentiates between the main measures of the socio-economic development of a region; identifies the factors of and barriers for regional development; identifies the basic tasks and instruments of the regional policy of Poland in the context of the regional policy of the European Union; possesses knowledge regarding the asymmetry of the regional development in the country and in the EU; has basic knowledge regarding regional competitiveness and innovation;
Abilities:
utilises the main measures of the socio-economic growth of a region; can conduct an initial analysis and evaluation of a region’s development; differentiates between endogenic and exogenic development factors; identifies the endogenic and exogenic development factors for an indicated area; can conduct a study of problematic areas in the scale of the region;
Social competence (attitudes):
Is aware of the role of the regional policy in alleviating the development disproportions in Poland and in the EU; is aware of the importance of entrepreneurship for local and regional development; acknowledges the need to update their knowledge and knows how to do it; knows how to gather information on their own allowing for the realisation of a set task.

The regional policy as a category. Regional development. The disproportions in regional development in Poland and in the EU. Regional development concepts. Structural funds as an instrument of the EU regional policy. The goals and instruments of the regional policy of Poland. Operational Programmes.
