W2 - knows in details the roles of bird feeding [BH2_W09];
W3 - knows the modern techniques applied in birds breeding [BH2_W10].
U1 - student plans and evaluates (generally and in details) the breeding systems of pigeon and selected species of decorative bird [BH2_U05; BH2_U11]; ,
U2 - applies necessary modifications in feeding systems for pigeon and selected species of decorative birds [BH2_U7];
U3 - is able to conduct the assess the exhibition value of pigeon and selected species of decorative birds [BH2_U9];Competences:
K1 - student describes properly the principles of particular breeding programmes for pigeon and selected species of decorative birds [BH2_K03];
K2- understands the risks connected with breeding of pigeon and selected species of decorative birds [ BH2_K06];
K3 - is aware of the necessity of continuous updating the knowledge related to breeding of different avian species [BH2_K07].Prerequisites:

The rules of rearing and maintenance of chosen birds’ species. Characteristics of conformation and nutritional requirements of chosen species of parrots, Estrildid finches, canaries, wild, park birds and pigeons. Basic care and preventive treatments connected with birds’ exhibitions and their maintenance. Pedigree of pigeons, breeding organization in Poland, division of pigeons onto groups, the most important breeds from particular groups, anatomical structure of pigeons, pigeon-house and its equipment, reproduction of pigeons, methods of pigeons breeding, exhibitions of pigeons, diseases of pigeons.Recommended literature:
