Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1- knows the basic rights and issues of the basics of genetics, including cytogenetics, immunogenetics, genetics of the process of forming gender, development genetics, population genetics and quantitative traits [KB_W09]; Skills: Student: U1-is able to explain and analyze the phenomenon of classical (Mendelian) genetics and heredity issues (also in the features of linked and related to the sex), and autosomal-linked traits [KB_U02, KB_U03, KB_U08]; U2 - is able to correctly interpret the distribution of variability of quantitative and qualitative, and deduce conclusions [KB_U08]; U3-is able to recognize and identify the type of chromosomal aberrations in microscopic cytogenetic analysis [KB_U08];
Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): K1 - willing to update the knowledge of genetics and related disciplines, and is aware of update their knowledge throughout their lives [KB_K01].
Prerequisites: zoology, biochemistry, cell biology
Course content: Genetic determination of the characteristics of the animal organism, inheritance and variability in quality and quantity, mutagenic agents, classical genetics, general and molecular animal immunogenetics, introduction to population genetics and genomics.

Assessment methods: Assessment methods: Assessment exercises: written tests to assess the current rating (based on oral statements) progress and activity.
