PolishLearning outcomes:
Knowledge:
The student is familiar with the principles of the optimal planning of the technology and the organization of construction within the range of environmental engineering; the student is able to identify common factors causing risk of cost overruns and failure to meet completion times; the student knows what environmental risks are generated by construction.
Abilities:
The student is able to determine the technological and organizational sequence of construction within the range of environmental engineering; The student can choose the timing, methods and technology for earthworks, with a view to minimizing adverse environmental effects; can apply health and safety regulations binding during the execution of facilities and objects within the range of environmental engineering; the student is able to determine the data needed to prepare the schedules using deterministic and probabilistic methods; the student knows how to interpret the information contained in the schedules and can determine whether the work is conducted according to the initial terms.
Competences:
The student is aware of the responsibility for an efficient and rational management of resources during construction work, is able to anticipate, assess and respond to threats to construction workers, observers and the environment, caused by the construction process.Prerequisites:
-Course content:
Modern technology in the construction of buildings within the range of environmental engineering. The technical conditions for the execution and acceptance of the construction work. The use of linear programming, transport issues, queuing theory, and the methods of multi-criteria optimization in the planning of the work’s technology and organization. The timing of the normative task.Recommended literature:
