Learning outcomes: Knowledge: W01 - has extensive theoretical knowledge of breeding requirements of terrestrial and amphibious animal taxa (crustaceans, myriapods, insects, arachnids, molluscs, amphibians, reptilians, mammals) which are kept in terraria and aqua-terraria [BH2_W01; R2A_W01; BH2_W08; R2A_W04; BH2_W09; R2A_W04]; W02 - has advanced knowledge of the designing, arranging and taking care of terraria and aqua-terraria with special attention paid to animal welfare [BH2_W10; R2A_W05]; W03 - knows and understands the applicable laws regarding breeding terrarium’s animals [BH2_W03; R2A_W02; BH2_W13; R2A_W06; BH2_W17; R2A_W09]. Skills: U01 - has the ability to design and arrangeterraria and aqua-terraria, with special attention paid to animal welfare and existing regulations and the knowledge of the principles of animal care [BH2_U04; R2A_U04; R2A_U06; BH2_U05; R2A_U05]; U02 - defines the species membership of required invertebrate species and is able to plan systems of breeding any species [BH2_U05; R2A_U05; BH2_U06; R2A_U06; BH2_U10; R2A_U06; BH2_U11; R2A_U07];

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): K01 - understands the legal aspects of breeding animals in terrariums [BH2_K06; R2A_K06]; K02 - is aware of the need for specific additional education in breeding animal in terraria [BH2_K07; R2A_K07];

Prerequisites: Prerequisites: Zoology

Course content: Course contents: Systematics and biology of taxa kept in terraria and aqua-terraria. Care requirementsfor different species.Rules and regulations concerning the keeping of wild animals as pets and for scientific purpose. Designing, maintenance and management of terraria and aqua-terraria.
