Learning outcomes: The objective of the course is to provide knowledge about the basis of measurements in agricultural and food industry, of chosen parameters of grain, soil, heat, selected tools and investigation methods.

Competences: Student will be able to use this knowledge of measurement techniques, in laboratory or farms, in the area of agriculture or food industry.

Prerequisites: Thermodynamics, Physics, Electro-techniques

Course content: Students will get the knowledge on the measurements techniques of chosen parameters: moisture of grain and solid bodies, air humidity, velocity and rate of flow, gross and net calorific value, exhaust analysis, water activity, firmness and cohesion of soil, sounds and ultrasounds, extensometer, photo-elasticity and holography-methods, scales and weighing, converters and measurement sensors, measurement of length and angle, dustiness of the gas, angle of friction, porosity, density, colorimeters, measurement sensors and errors.
