The aim of teaching is to acquaint students with the basics of drying facilities, basic systems, dryers, and indicators of their work.Competences:
Student knows basic drying facilities and the construction and operating principles of agricultural dryersPrerequisites:
mathematics, physics biology and chemistry.Course content:
Fundamentals of drying facilities. The properties of dried materials, the basic phenomena occurring during drying, the movement of moisture in the material. Moist gases, basic terms of thermodynamics of moist air. Types of heat transfer. Kinetics of the drying process, influence of external conditions on the drying process. Methods of drying. Indicators of Classification and dryers. Dryers equipment: chamber, tunnel, belt, gravity, machines, pneumatic, fluidized bed and fountain, a special purpose. Technical equipment of the dryers, automatic drying process. Technology drying agricultural products. Campaign Planning drying, active ventilation, extra drying devices. Selection of dryers, energy and safety at work dryers.Recommended literature:
