Learning outcomes: Knowledge: W01 – Has advanced economic, legal and social knowledge related to animal breeding [BH2 – W03], R2A_W02; W02 – Has advanced knowledge concerning agricultural environment formation by animal breeding[BH2 - W05], R2A_W03; W03 – Has widened knowledge of agricultural environment functioning [BH2 - W12]; W04 – Knows in detail benefits and possibilities of organic animal breeding and integrated agriculture [BH2 - W14], R2A_W06; W05 – Has widened knowledge concerning the state and complex action of the factors determining rural areas functioning and development in relations to animal breeding [BH2 – W15], R2A_W07. Skills: Student- U01 – Has an ability of precise communication with various entities in verbal, written and graphic form [BH2 – U02], R2A_U02, R2A_U03; U02 – Understands and uses suitable information technologies in the range of obtaining and processing of information in the range of zootechnics[BH2 – U03], R2A_U03; U03 – Properly interprets and uses the regulations concerning closed breeding organization and detailed conditions of wild animals maintenance. Independently plans the systems of any animal species breeding. Is able to make a detailed assessment of all elements determining animal breeding [BH2 – 05], R2A_U05; U04 – Demonstrates an ability of interference in particular breeding stages and eliminate the threats using original solutions [BH2 – U14], R2A_U09; U05 – Has an ability of project preparation in the range of course scope [BH2 – U15], R2A_U10.

Competences: Student- K01 – Understands the need of constant qualifications improving, is able to work in a team [BH2 – K01], R2A_K01; K02 – Demonstrated the knowledge of activities aimed at risk limitation and prediction of the results of activity in the range of widely understood agriculture and environment [BH2 – K05], R2A_K05; K03 – Is aware of human and animal threats resulting from civilization progress; perceives the need of pro-ecological activities [BH2 – K06], R2A_K06; K04 – Is aware of the need of targeted additional training and professional competences improving in the range of animal breeding [BH2 – K07], R2A_K07; K05 – Knows the rules of creation and running of breeding enterprise in agricultural sector of in agriculture surrounding [BH2 – K08], R2A_K08.

Prerequisites: information technologies, animal hygiene, animal breeding

Course content: Regulations concerning animal welfare, the methods of its assessment (SPIWET, TGI 2000) farms influence on the environment, integrated permit for large commodity farms (IPPC), formation of the conditions inside livestock buildings. Designing of lightning, ventilation, floor heat-protection conditions. Evaluation of the level of gases emission from the plants for animal breeding using the Complete Environmental Management Software System. Basic information concerning the methodology of IPC applications preparation for large commodity farms.
