W2 – knows tools to estimate the genetic parameters of behavioural traits and result of their traits selection [KB2_W02_BŚ].

U2 – can interpret phenotypic, physiological and genetic relations of animal behavioural traits [KB2_U03_BŚ].

Prerequisites:
zoology, animal physiology, animal genetics. Course content:
Characterization of behavioural traits and role of behavioural traits in evolution and domestication processes in animals. Genetic parameters of behavioural traits. Genetic basis of different forms of animal behaviour (especially aggressive behaviour). Natural and artificial selection of behavioural traits. Behavioural traits in breeding work in animals.
