W01 – is able to list and characterize physical, chemical and biological properties of cows’ milk and has the knowledge of OSH in laboratory [BH2_W07];
W02 – knows the basis of raw milk analytics on particular production stages and in milk assessment laboratories [BH2_W10];
W03 – has detailed knowledge concerning the process of formation and methods of milk obtaining and factors limiting cows’ milk yield [BH2_W11];
W04 – knows law requirements concerning conditions of milk obtaining, characterizes modern technologies of milk production, has the knowledge of modern techniques used in cattle herd management [BH2_W06; BH2_W10];
W05 – knows the daily schedule in a cowshed, rules of animal herd monitoring in terms of their functioning on dairy cattle farm [BH2_W08];
W06 – knows the rules of breeding work in herd of cows and is able to select suitable males for mating plan [BH2_W06];
W07 – is able to list the range of services and characterize the breeding documentation led by institutions and organizations for cattle breeders and milk producers [BH2_W03].
U01 – is able to use laboratory equipment for raw milk examination and analyses in efficient and safe manner [BH2_U01];
U02 – has an ability of cows’ milking, assessment of quality and chemical composition of milk and its adulterations detection, and also interpretation of obtained results [BH2_U09];
U03 – has an ability of self-dependent planning of production technology and herd management, and communication with various entities like PFHBiPM, ARR, ARiMR, IW [BH2_U02; BH2_U04];
U04 – is able to perform cattle herd inspection on a farm pointing possible threats and mistakes, effectively uses these information for modification of technologies used and for efficient animal herd management [BH2_U07; BH2_U10];
U05 – has an ability of self-dependent application of suitable information technologies for dairy cattle herd management and elaboration of mating plan [BH2_U03].Competences:
K01 – understands the need of directed additional education and improvement of professional competences in the range of dairy cattle breeding and maintenance [BH2_K07];
K02 – is aware of the responsibility of extra class milk production, animal welfare and environmental conditions managing on cattle [BH2_K05];
K03 – is able to determine properly priorities for realization of assumed task for proper functioning of dairy cattle farm [BH2_K03];
K04 - understands significance of OSH rules obeying in cattle service [BH2_K06].Prerequisites:

Raw material base for milk production, breeding, environmental and legal conditions of milk production, physicochemical and health promoting milk properties, mammary gland health status, purchase and assessment of milk quality, production technology planning, cattle herd management, reproduction and breeding work in cows’ herd, maintenance systems, buildings and premises for cattle, organization of dairy cattle fairs.Recommended literature:
