Learning outcomes: Student gains practical information concerning the identification of mandatory requirements for products, manufacturing and trading companies, in line with EU legislation, and rules of their verification in accordance with the conformity assessment system. The student has knowledge of the identification and evaluation of factors affecting the quality of the products in the process of distribution. The student defines the purpose and principles of implementation and improvement of various quality management systems in production, trade and service. The student acquires the ability to identify and control the quality management processes occurring in the company producing agricultural machinery and agricultural enterprises. Student gains ability to design the basic elements of quality management system based on the concept of TQM, as well as a qualitative parameter selection process and various tools to improve the quality management system

Competences: Student demonstrates the need for self-improvement and training for the effective use of modern solutions in an integrated model of quality management system in the field of agricultural and forestry engineering

Prerequisites: Management and Logistics in the Enterprise, Agricultural and Forest Machinery I, Computer Science

Course content: The essence of quality and quality management basics. The functions, scope and importance of quality management for the smooth functioning of a modern enterprise. The concepts and functions of quality management, methods and tools for its improvement, models and quality management systems and their evaluation forms. TQM principles. Quality management systems in agricultural machinery industry. Integrated quality management systems, environmental and safety protection of product quality in logistics processes. The issue of quality management and possible solutions to the problems of poor quality by using statistical methods. Quality costs and their structure in companies working in the agriculture
