Elective is used to diversify the knowledge about swine diseases, which student has after compulsory courses about swine diseases. It is used for procurement new practical abilities, which are helpful while working on pig farm. Increase of knowledge about the species and diseases. Competences:
After completing of the course about swine diseases, student is prepared to recognize and analyse clinical symptoms of swine infectious diseases, and has ability to recognize diffusion of infection on farm and effective treatment.Prerequisites:
Anatomy, Microbiology, Immunology and Infectious diseases of farm animalsCourse content:
Germ, investigation, diagnostic, screening, health state of animals on farms, planning and interpretation of diagnostic test results, prophylaxis and vaccinations.Recommended literature:
