Knowledge:
-knows causes of the most common skin diseases in animals
-knows clinical signs of the most common skin diseases in animals
k-nows basic additional test needed to confirm or exclude diagnosis of most common skin diseases in animals
-knows methods of treatment of diagnosed skin disease in animals
Practical skills:
-can obtain history and perform clinical examination when skin disease is suspected in animals
-can make differential diagnosis and prepare list of additional dermatological tests needed to confirm or exclude skin disease
-can make diagnosis of skin disease based on clinical signs and additional dermatological test
-can propose treatment program of diagnosed skin disease

Student can realize course of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures with preventive treatment in diseases of skin in animalsPrerequisites:

The veterinary dermatology course contains information about most common skin diseases in small animals, farm animals but also exotic animals. The course discusses etiology of dermatoses, diagnostic procedures, clinical examination as well as treatment in selected diseases. Students are also instructed with pharmaceutical of treating of animals skin diseases.Recommended literature:
