Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1- knows the rules of the functioning of aquatic organisms [KB2_W05]; W2 - explains how the aquatic animals adapt to water environment [KB2_W05]; W2- explains strategy of gaining nourishment, reproduction and parental protection [KB2_W02_BŚ]; W4 - understands the interaction on level inside and between species [KB2_W02_BŚ]. Skills: Student: U1- analyzes environmental adaptation of build and functions of aquatic organisms [KB2_U07] U2- analyzes and interprets in an appropriate way every connection between life environment and aquatic organisms’ build [KB2_U03_BŚ].

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): Student: K1- plans scientific experiments adapting them to circumstances, held labware and capabilities. [KB2_K03]; K2- is aware of hazards for human health, resulting from the progress of civilization [KB2_K04].

Course content: Importance of aquaculture in Poland and elsewhere. Main species of aquaculture animals. Husbandry and breeding in aquaculture – crayfishes, crabs, shrimps, catfish and selected mariculture animals.
