KNOWLEDGE:
After finishing the course the student knows the possibilities of information science support in different kinds of human activities especially in economy. The student knows the computer science enough to describe the quantity, understand and model medium level problems. The student understands the benefits and risks connected with the use of computer science in economic and social development.
SKILLS:
The student is able to create computer models of problems connected with different fields of economy, social life and is also able to interpret the results of the computer models of specific problems analysis. The student can correctly choose and estimate the tools for searching information and sources of scientific information available in the internet. The student is also able to use Microsoft Office software to create text documents, charts and calculations and can present them as a multimedia presentation.

PERSONAL AND SOCIAL COMPETENCES:
The student understands social aspects of using computer science solutions, of knowledge and skills and the responsibility connected with it. The student is aware of professional behavior and ethics importance (including intellectual property protection). The student is aware of the importance and understands legal and economic conditions of information science usage and responsibilities which outcome from this usage.

Meaning and the development of economic computer science, the generations of computers, computer equipment - building, the configuration of the set, classification of computers, types and division of software, system software, usable software, computer networks - the history of development, feature, use, classification, component elements, safety. The use of computer equipment, operating system Windows and the programmes of the packet of MS Office.
