Learning outcomes: Knowledge A student is acquainted with general and detailed concepts in the field of management as well as with theoretical basics of environmental management A student has knowledge about relation between economy, society and environment as well as its quality. A student is also familiar with the structure of the environmental management system A student also has knowledge about the range of environmental management means and about “clean production” as the main strategy of environmental protection Skills A student has ability to build the system of environmental management and to carry out classification of instruments used in environmental protection as well as to evaluate their effectiveness A student is also capable of evaluating pro environmental programmes and pro ecological activity of an enterprise based on the analysis of ecological-economic accounting
Competences: Social competences A student understands and is familiar with problems resulting from the relation of the systems: economy, society and environment and is aware of the necessity to constantly improve environmental protection
Prerequisites: Bases of ecomonics
Course content: Theoretical basics of the structure of the environmental management system. Management means. The best available technique (BAT) as a goal of implementation of „clean technology”. Implementation of ISO 14001in Poland. Pro ecological formation of products. Management instruments. Ecological responsibility.
