Knowledge:
possesses the knowledge of the basic categories and determinants of the functioning of a city and region, especially with respect to their functional-spatial structure; knows the structures and subjects of the city and region; is knowledgeable in the subject of the main factors and barriers for development, especially in the context of sustainable development; is knowledgeable in the subject of spatial-economic regional diversity and the subject of euro-regionalisation;
Abilities:
can assess the level of urbanisation in an area and its character; knows how to observe and evaluate the process of regionalisation in a given area; determines and evaluates the functional sphere of the city and region; performs the basic interpretation and evaluation of the socio-economic development of a city and region;

Social competence (attitudes):
shows understanding for the meaning behind the economisation of processes occurring in cities and regions, with additional regard to other requirements of integrated order; knows the value of enterprise-related activity and its influence on the city and region.

Urban processes and their variants. The city (classification) and its features. Managing processes in the city. The importance of city infrastructure. Regionalism and the region (typology). Balancing the socio-economic development of cities and regions. Transboundary (Euroregional) cooperation.Recommended literature:
