Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Student: W1 - has knowledge of the morphological structures of the human and other primates body [KB2_W01_BC]; W2 - knows the morphological processes shaping the development of human organs [KB2_W01]; W3 - describes the morphological differentiation of humans resulting from evolutionary and developmental processes [KB2_W02_BC], [KB2_W04_BC]; W4 – knows measurement and descriptive methods of the morphological variation of human body [KB2_W01]. Skills: Student: U1 – selects instruments to measure the size of selected morphological features of human [KB2_U02]; U2 - prepares a reports on the morphology of epidermal ridges, the iris of the eye, ear, and the face [KB2_U01]. U3 – performs laboratory research tasks of comparative morphology characteristics of modern representatives of the Primates [KB2_U01; KB2_U03_BC].

Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): Student: K1 - plans research tasks adjusted to the conditions, their equipment and capabilities [KB2_K03];

Prerequisites: human anatomy

Course content: The range and objective of morphology. The shape of the organ or traits, as a result of the impact of endogenous and exogenous factors. Comparative morphology of human body traits in ontogeny and phylogeny. The variability of the shape of human body parts in comparison with the representatives of Pongide. Morphological traits of head - morphology of the mouth, nose, ear and iris. Morphology of the epidermal ridges.

Assessment methods: Two written tests to evaluate. The presence of the exercises is compulsory, the student may have only one unauthorized absence. In the case of unjustified absences the student is required to pass the relevant part of the material. Attested credit of tutorials based on the average ratings. lecture written assessment - valid written test (11 open questions). Assessment takes 30 minutes.
