During course students achieves theoretical knowledge of hydraulic engineering - related to the design of weirs, dams, water intake, channels, canals, levees, elevators. The topic concerned hydraulic structures, water distribution networks, water collection networks, storm water management, sediment transport, and various other topics related to transportation engineering. After completed course student is able to design a hydraulic structures, including weirs, dams, or fish passes, water intake.Competences:
After completing the course student has satisfactory knowledge to choose and design and to prepare a technical project of hydraulic structures.Prerequisites:

Fundamental terms in hydraulic engineering. The rules of water distribution networks, storm water management, sediment transport.Recommended literature:
Assessment methods:
Project and oral exam.
Written exam, minimum of knowledge to passing grades - 55%.
