Knowledge:
Knows the basic terminology that is used in the
humanities and social sciences: knows the basic concepts of
sociology and the basic methods of social research, understands the essence of sociology as a science of society, has knowledge of the most important phenomena occurring in a global society today, knows selected contemporary sociological issues. Has a basic concept how to get other information on the topic of the course (R1A_W02). Has a basic knowledge ofsocial relationships and is able to indicate the relationship between the humanities and the social and agricultural sciences, forestry, veterinary and natural
Skills:
Is ably looking for information, analyzes and uses the
literature on the subject of the course. Uses specialized terminology in the language of the subject.Is aware of the self-development. Recognizes issues, can act in accordance with applicable standards and principles

Sociology as a science. Society as a subject of sociology. Types
of social groups. Collision of civilizations according to
Huntington. Globalization. Sociological formulation of culture.Changes in a contemporary society. Revision.

Final evaluation of the lectures is a component of the scoring in
the knowledge, skills and social competence. There are summed
points obtained from the written test, activity, discussions,
attendance and additional tasks. Knowledge shall be verified
with the use of the written test. Written test includes two
problem questions, to assess skills. Social competence are
evaluated based on participation in class discussions and
thematic attendance and performing additional tasks.Comment:
