Possesses knowledge regarding real estate management theory: can distinguish the operational, tactical and strategic level; knows the types of real estate; knows the specifics of managing different types of real estate; possesses knowledge regarding the (legal, organisational, professional, moral, ethical) systems, norms and regulations which govern the actions of a real estate manager; possesses knowledge regarding change processes on the real estate market; possesses the knowledge regarding the relations between the effectiveness of an investment on the real estate market and the general market situation;
Competences: can interpret the risk and uncertainty in real estate management; can use the theoretical knowledge related to the real estate market to describe and analyse the reasons behind and the stages of social processes and phenomena that accompany it; can aptly use the (legal, professional, ethical) normative systems, norms and regulations typical for the profession of a manager; has the ability to use the acquire knowledge to determine the attractiveness of investing in a given real estate; has the ability to single-handedly propose methods for reaching goals related to real estate management; has the ability to formulate a short-term and long-term real estate management plan;

The general definition of management. Introduction to real estate management. The evolution of real estate management. The definition of real estate, types of real estate. Forms of real estate ownership. Real estate manager: the legal status of the profession. The specifics of residential real estate and commercial real estate management. Real estate maintenance and exploitation costs. Real estate taxes and fees. Responsibilities related to real estate management. Real estate circulation as a subsystem of the real estate market. The vision for real estate development. Strategies of managing real estate. Risk and uncertainty in real estate management. Real estate as a subject of investment.
