The student after completion of the course should:
• know how to find information and to apply them correctly; know methodology for maintenance work in regard to garden objects and architectural-landscape setups; know an overview of the organization and activities of the national conservation services.
• properly formulate and execute design tasks; use sources of information in designing; choose the design method to the design task; perform landscape architectural designs of various types; prepare the project documentation in accordance with the formal determinants.

Design class includes the following learning contents:
Principles of preservation. Designing for maintenance and restoration of historic garden and landscape setups. Specificity of maintenance work in the garden objects. Conservation service. Legal conditioning of protection of historic garden and landscape setups. The method of conservation conduct - principles and methods of implementation. Protection zones. Contemporary trends in conservation. Adaptation of the garden and landscape setups for needs of today.
