W01 – student has general knowledge about market and its functioning [K_W16];
W02 – student defines supply and demand [K_W16];
W03 – student knows the basic concept of inflation, unemployment and business cycles [K_W16];
W04 – student knows the various forms of individual entrepreneurship [K_W16].
U01 – student use of the available sources of information for the preparation of speeches and papers taking into account economic aspects [K_U17];
U02 – student is able to perform simple calculations of costs associated with the economic analysis of experiments, field studies or observations [K_U15].
K01 – on the basis of acquired knowledge, student is able to conduct business activities useful in bioinformatics [K_K10];

Course contents: the concept of economics, types of economies, the market and its mechanism of action, demand and supply and its determinants, competition in the economy and market structures, enterprise and its environment, cost, revenue and profits, money, inflation and unemployment, cyclical economic processes, the specificity of economic conditions in nature and agribusiness.Recommended literature:

Completion of the course: students enrolled in the course valid written credit (19 closed test questions, 2 open test questions and 3 tasks) in a class session. Examination takes 45 minutes. If writing approach is not passed in the first term, the student has the right to re-sit them orally or in writing form during the exam session.Comment:
