Learning outcomes: Knowledge Student: Knowledge: W1 – knows the stages of primate phylogeny (with particular reference to Homo) and their method of classification [KB_W11; KB_W12] W2 - knows and understands the reasons for modern human morphological diversity, diversity within and between populations, is characterized by human population demographics [KB_W14] W3 - describes the stages of ontogenesis known methodologies for assessing accuracy of human development [KB_W06] W4 - knows methods of obtaining and securing skeletal material [KB_W17] W5 - knows the application of anthropology to other fields of science [KB_W18]. Skills: Student: U1- is able to apply basic research techniques and skeletal material of living people, knows how to properly use the equipment for measurement studies [KB_U12]; U2 - can formulate appropriate conclusions and describe the results of the analyzes using the correct terminology, to prepare a talk or presentation [KB_U18].
Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviors): Student: K1- can responsibly and effectively, to collaborate in a group and take the responsibilities entrusted to [KB_K02]; K2 - has a responsibility and entrusted to the care of measuring equipment, and collections of bones [KB_K08].

Course content: Systematicsand phylogeny of primates, the methods of classification, morphology of the primate, Homo sapiens intraspecific variation, ontogenesis and control methods for the development of children. Fundamentals of ecology of man extended to issues associated with specific (cultural) properties of human adaptation. Human biological variation, the processes of adaptation to living environment, demography. Applications of anthropology.

Assessment methods: Students with valid credit exercises written test (25 closed questions) - W1-W5. Assessment takes about 25 minutes. If the test is not counted in the first term the student has the right again cautioned him orally or in writing within retake. Current rating (based on oral statements) progress in science and activity (U1-U3). Rating attention to measuring equipment and materials in the course of skeletal by observing the student (K1). Preparing a presentation in the group (K2) The presence on exercises is obligatory; student can have only one unexcused absence.
