W1 – knows the organisational and legislative backgrounds of nature conservancy in Poland and EU [KB_W15].
W2 – knows basic definitions in the field of ecology and levels of organisation of ecological systems [KB_W15].
W3 – identifies problems and factors affecting functionality of ecosystems (including urbanization) [KB_W15].
W4 – identifies biological and landscaping diversity in relation to nature conservancy (including the methodology in making use of natural resources[KB_W12; KB_W15].
Skills:
Student:
U1 – can draw up and apply strategies of nature conservancy in Poland relying on EU solutions [KB_U18].
U2 – correctly interprets legal articles concerning species and area conservation in Poland [KB_U06; KB_U15].
U3 - explains interactions between separate elements of ecosystem and their connections with climatic conditions and geographical areas [KB_U11].
U4 – identifies threats of natural environment [KB_U11].Competences:

Methods in nature conservancy. Nature conservancy in Poland – threats to fauna and flora. Categories of endangered species according to claassification of IUCN. International classification and functions of protected areas (IUCN). Surface, species, and individual conservancy. Active nature conservancy. Principles of preparing nature conservancy plans. Strategy of nature conservancy in European Union. Networks ECONET and CORINE.Recommended literature:
