Learning outcomes: Knowledge: students have general knowledge on mathematics and statistics. Skills: students are able to use information technology (computer software) to collect and process data on animal husbandry; students can solve, under supervision of a teacher, simple research problems concerning agriculture, and then are able to interpret results and conclude.
Competences: Personal and social competences (attitudes and behaviours): students are aware of need of permanent upgrading of their knowledge.
Prerequisites: mathematics, computer science
Course content: The overall purpose of the course is to provide students with theoretical background and practical skills concerning statistical methods used whensummarizing or describing a collection of data (descriptive statistics), data modelling, and then to draw inferences about the process under investigation (inferential statistics).
