W1 –understands basic natural phenomena and processes and their connections to related disciplines. Knows the history of biological sciences and research methods. Points the possibilities of practicals application of the knowledge gained in social-economic life. Understands ethical-moral threats and problems related to biology development.
Skills:
Student:
U1 – based on professional literature, formulates the arguments concerning ethical and moral problems of modern biology. Discusses the possibilities of current problems solving. Critically evaluates information concerning biology provided in mass-media.
U2 – makes use of every available information sources, including electronic ones, in learning, preparation of presentations, problem-related lectures, research activity planning.Competences:

Basic definitions related to animal behavior, characteristics of behavior categories and forms, standards of daily behaviors, genetic and physiological conditions of animal behaviors, practicals application of the knowledge of animal behavior (social, sexual behavior, care of progeny, aggressive and exploring behaviors, subordination), their modifications, stress phenomenon, behavior and welfare.Recommended literature:
