Knowledge:
student has the wide, exceeding the middle school level, knowledge on the differences in the chemical composition of vegetable and animal origin food existing in the different environmental conditions; student knows the substantial ecological dependencies in self-nutrition of animals. He/she evaluates the anthropopressive impact of human - a consumer of food - on functioning of the Earth ecosystems; student knows the principles of human nutrition management.
Skills:
student proficiently carries the calculations of nutritive value of meals for different groups of human population; student explains the interactions between producers and consumers at the different levels in the ecosystems; student has the ability to prepare an report on the nutritional status of the definite person.

Transfer of substantial information on the biochemistry and physiology of animal and human nutrition; on the requirement of different species and groups of animals and human for nutrients, on the characteristics of the groups and types of feed and food, contents of antinutritive substances as well as providing of the substantial information on the metabolic disturbances in people and animals.Recommended literature:

Assessment methods:
Individual approval of the tasks realised during exercises. The participation in the exercises is compulsory. In the case of justified absence the student is obliged to charge the relevant part of the knowledge and to approve the task at the additional term or at the consultation mode. The final note follows from the evaluation of the self-performed work on the nutrition of definite person. The course ends with the exercise approval.Comment:
