Knowledge
Student knows the basic technical characteristics of materials; knows prefabricated elements; understands the principles associated with the operation of basic cements; knows characteristics and markings of metals; knows ways of the formation and characteristics of plastic.
Skills
Student is able to select the appropriate products for the specific application; knows by what methods are tested qualities of materials relevant for the specific of destination; is able to draw conclusions from the researches; is able to use from the standards; knows how to practically apply the acquired knowledge in design and workmanship for the purposes of environmental engineering.
Competences:
Student is able to work in a group – is aware of the responsibility for tasks performed together by the team – shows responsibility for the entrusted equipment.Prerequisites:

Technical characteristics of materials. Basic information about materials and products (rocks, ceramics, binders, adhesives, glass, wood, metals, plastics). Products for insulation acoustical, thermal, anti-moisture, anti-water.
