Lecturer: dr inż. Wiesław Fiałkiewicz
Language of instruction: Polish

Learning outcomes: Using computer environment for acquiring, storing, and managing information; introduction to programming language in order to perform basic engineering computations; introducing of CAD software to create and modify engineering drawings, building three dimensional virtual models and making visualisation of three dimensional objects.

Competences: Abilities to understand algorithmic schemes and to code typical computations in high-level language, with use of typical computer applications; practical knowledge of CAD software allowing design of engineering objects and building of three dimensional models.

Prerequisites: Information technologies

Course content: Concept of algorithm. Simple and structural instructions. Data types. Functions and procedures. Using Python language for computations, data format conversions and graphical presentation. Interaction of the program with application environment. Working in CAD graphic environment: units, coordinates, drawing limits, model space and paper space, drawing with precision, creating and modifying objects, layers, styles, blocks, text, dimensioning and plot drawing to scale. Modelling in three dimensional (3D) space: frame, surface and solid models. Visualisation and printing of 3D objects.
