Knowledge:
He has expertise in the field of chemistry, biochemistry, and biology necessary to understand the processes taking place at the time of obtaining energy from the products and precipitation plant and animal origin and other renewable energy sources.
He has expertise in biofuels and biomass processes, including waste biomass from agricultural and animal.
He has knowledge of the biosphere, chemical and physical processes that occur in nature at the time of obtaining energy from renewable sources, including biomass from agricultural and animal.
He has a general knowledge of systems, technologies, techniques, equipment and tools used in the production of energy from renewable sources.
Skills:
Can obtain information from literature, databases and other sources, is able to integrate the information, make their interpretation, as well as draw conclusions and formulate and justify opinions.
Can using basic technologies to acquire and process information in the field of renewable energy and waste management.
He can solve based on the standard of production, technical and operational problems in the field of waste management and renewable energy sources, taking into account the requirements for care of the environment.
Able to prepare and present a short presentation on the results of the engineering task involving the selection of the appropriate equipment or means of accomplishing the given technology.
Can under supervision perform simple tasks, research and design in the area of waste management and renewable energy sources.
Competences:
Is aware of the importance, responsibility and consequences of engineering activities towards renewable energy sources and waste management in terms of responsibility for the quality of life for people and the environment.

Biomass characteristics and the distribution of biomass. Biomass resources for energy and non-energy. Energy-type plants, growing and harvesting grounds. Ability to attract, and waste biomass grown for energy purposes. The use of solid biomass energy. Generation technologies and compact biomass. Basics of biomass densification process. Machinery and equipment for briquetting and pelleting. The production and use of biomass concentrated. Distribution and base conversion of biomass to energy. Basic requirements and conditions of the location of equipment used to produce heat energy, mechanical and electrical. Understanding the processes that occur during the production of energy from renewable energy carriers. The ability to select devices for each biomass processing technologies.Recommended literature:
