Learning outcomes: At the end of the course students are able to use text editor, spreadsheet, presentation programs and the Internet – protocols, services, applications.
Competences: Passing the course permits to work in practice with different popular computers programs.
Prerequisites: None.
Course content: History of operating systems and user interfaces. Installation and using operating system from the Linux family. Applications: text editor, spreadsheet, presentation program. Internet – protocols, services, applications. Internet search engines – free tools and login-required databeses. Digital images – kinds, parameters, operations. Scanning and optical characters recognition (OCR).
Recommended literature: Manuals about computers and computer\\\\\\\'s software such as Word, Excel, Power Point.
Assessment methods: Passing grades of practical course.
