Learning outcomes: Knowledge: W1 -student can describe basic factors determining the weather and climate, also explains the reasons of their changeability [ BZ_W16]; W2 -student can explain the influence of changing climate conditions on variability of living organisms [BZ_W01]; W3 -student can describe the influence of changing meteorological conditions on the functioning of living organisms [BZ_W02]; W4 -student can explain the effect of anthropogenic factors of air environmental on people and animals [ BZ_W18] Skills: U1 - student can explain the interaction between the environment and living organisms [[BZ_U14]; U2 - student can prepare presentation on a topic connected to climate and weather factors influecing on living organisms [BZ_U17].

Competences: K1 - student can discuss the effect of meteorological phenomena in nature [BZ_K04; BZ_K10]; K2 - student keeps safety rules connection with the prevalence of hazards in the environment [BZ_K04]. K3 - student understands the need to supplement the knowledge during whole life [BZ_K01].

Prerequisites: Physics (or biophysics), animal's physiology

Course content: Climate factors and their influence on climate types; weather factors and their variability; relationships between weather factors; influence of meteorological elements on human and animal organisms; the adaptation of living organisms to defined climate conditions, acclimatization; the adaptationof living organisms to changing weather conditions, meteotropismus, climatotherapy
