Learning outcomes: Student has a knowledge about city’ environment influence on length of life and health of different species of arborescent plants. He knows methods of improvement the habitat conditions for trees and shrubs on urban areas. Student is able to recognize the potential hazards for arborescent plants in city, as well as determine hazard zones. He can choose the appropriate methods of protection the trees and shrubs during reconstruction their surroundings. He is able to plan the care treatments for arborescent species.

Competences: Student is aware of importance of arborescent plants for improvment the conditions in city, he understands influence of trees on human helth

Prerequisites: Botany, chemistry, physiology and ecobiology of plants

Course content: Assesment of helth of trees and shrubs on urban areas. The methods of assessment of injury of stem, crown and root system of trees. Treatments applied during care the trees and shrubs on urban areas. Cuttings of trees and shrubs. Protection of trees and methods of reduction of impact of modernization their surroundings. Types of cavities and methods of care. Planning the care treatments for fragment of high greenery.
