Student knows morphological structure and ways of the plants dispersal and spread off. Knows the toxical, medicinal and other useful properties of the chosen plant species. Knows parasitic and half-parasitic plants as well as the wild-growing plants which are intermediate hosts for phytopathogens and vermins of plants. Knows groups of chemical compounds which occurred within the toxic and medicinal plants. Student is able to identify plant species using the guide books and to interpret the ecological indicator values of plants. Recognize the chosen toxic, harmful and medicinal plants. Know and recognize the species which influence negatively for the food quality. He is able to point the habitats of the chosen plant species; on the grounds of flora is able to define the habitat’s requirements.Competences:
Student is aware of the necessity of constant learning and systematic updating of the knowledge. Is able to work in a team. Prerequisites:

Acquaintance of Students with a wild-growing plant species: ruderal, medicinal and others useful plants – f.i. dyer’s plants. Student get to know the systematic and morphology of the host plants of vermins and pathogens. Student get to know the full characteristic of chosen plant species (or families): botanical characters, ecology, biochemical properties and application.Recommended literature:
