Learning outcomes: Knowledge: knows the research objectives and methodology of occupational health and safety and ergonomics; knows functional determinants of system: man-machine and human - environment; defines the basic factors of work environment and their impact on the human body; knows the potential health effects caused by chemical, biological and physical factors at work; understand the biological and environmental causes of tiredness. Skills: interprets results of measurements of the physical working environment to its optimization; use the basic diagnostic techniques to assess the level of occupational risk and biological work load.

Competences: is aware of the risks in incorrectly designed environment of work; correctly formed his place of work.

Prerequisites: human anatomy, human physiology

Course content: definition of ergonomics and occupational safety, conditions for the operation of the system man-machine; physical, chemical and biological factors of work environment, anthropometry as an ergonomic system of reference; ergonomics issues of perception of signals in the process of labor, occupational health of mental and physical work.
