Knowledge
The student after completion of the course:
has developed a spatial imagination; knows the methods of drawing the spatial works on a plane, knows geometrical basics of depictions used in technical drawings; knows the normalization regulations concerning the forms and rules of technical drawings; can create and read the technical specification of machines and devices; knows the basics of AutoCAD software.
Skills
The student after completion of the course:
is able to use methods of representing given or imaginative items on a plane; can create axonometric projections of an item; can use his knowledge for proper depiction of designations and dimensions of items on technical drawings. is able to identify potentially most dangerous parts of machines, devices and buildings based on their diagrams and projections; can use his knowledge of technical drawings and graphic editing software.
Social competences (attitudes):
The student is able to look for connections between regularities existing in geometry and other areas of science; is able to develop cognitive skills for learning other CAD software.Competences:

Course content:
Rectangular projection on two planes (Monge projection) – representations and coincidence of lines and planes; polyhedra projections, cross sections with projection planes and any planes; surface projections, sectional views of projection planes; intersections of lines and polyhedra and/or surfaces. Axonometry. Size and form of drawing sheet; drawing lines; unicolour graphical markings of elements on an engineering and architectural/structural drawings. Overview of the main interface of AutoCad software, explanation of basic drawing tools, insertion of textual description of objects, basics of object dimensioning, designing of a simple graphical objects, basics of work with raster files and 3D projects.Recommended literature:
