Learning outcomes: Knowledge: Students W1 – identified species of pets[BH1_W13]; W2 – described their biology and behaviour [BH1_W01] W3 – known their specific breeding needed [BH1_W13, K_W18]; Skills Students U1 – identified breeds and variety of species [BH1_U05]; U2 – plane special breeding system for the species and breed [BH1_U06, BH1_U07];
Competences: Student K1 –is aware of the responsibility for animals and ethic proceeding with [BH1_K03, BH1_K04, BH1_K05];
Prerequisites: basic animal breeding, animals feeding, genetics
Course content: Characteristics of dog breeding, specific requirements, presentation of breeds. Characteristics of cats breeding and their requirements, description of the breeds. Discussion of breeding and characteristic of varieties of hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, rabbits, gerbils, mice and rats. Presentation of the species of birds and other animals kept as pets.
